Artwork created for the Robert Altman: American Outsider season at BFI Southbank. This season was a two month long celebration of the audacious, and often forgotten, American director Robert Altman. He was regarded as a bit of an outsider within Hollywood, a natural rebel and someone who rooted American life in the narrative of his work.
The season artwork is reflective of his rebellious spirit, presenting a montage of iconic characters from his films in a rough and ready collage style. There is also a nod to the American flag through the use of red, white and blue to link back to his unique perspective of the American dream within his films.
