Inspired by the Scottish phrase for going to the cinema, the visual identity for this festival is a celebration of Scottish film – from creative talent to stunning locations. Located in the cinematic heart of Scotland, the festival will be held at GFT in Glasgow as the city has long history with cinema. It’s a fresh and playful design using the shapes of iconic Glasgow buildings to inform the pattern including Glasgow School of Art, Kelvingrove Art Gallery and the GOMA.
The main desire for the identity of the festival is to celebrate not only our great cinema but also the people of Scotland. Throughout the festival programme, you can find ‘an honest Scots review’ of the films being screened. It’s a simple message, encouraging playful interaction and conversations that reflects the well loved character of Scotland.
