Artwork created for BFI’s major two month long season of Stop Motion: Celebrating Handmade Animation on the Big Screen, supported by headline partner LAIKA.
It was an immersive season celebrating the art form and running in parallel with the LAIKA: Frame x Frame exhibition, showcasing the artistry of the nearly one million hand-crafted frames that make up LAIKA’s five films.
The artwork encompassed four iconic key characters from the world of Stop Motion that highlight the craft and details of the models used in these animations. All of the designs use close crops of the characters, playing on how well loved and recognisable they are with audiences.
